Principal Investigator/Scientist/Group Leader, nucleic acid drug development

VesiCURE Therapeutics Co. Ltd. is a biotech startup company to develop innovative drugs based in Suzhou, China and aimming for the globe. VesiCURE Therapeutics is seeking a skilled and self-motivated group leader scientist to join the innovative company. This position will focus on nucleic acid drug development utilizing the proprietary extracellular vesicle delivery system to tackle the unmet needs for treatments of cancers and immune system disorders.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Tracking the updated development in the field of nucleic acid drugs.
2. Designing and testing nucleic acid drug development and delivery systems.
3. Establishing and validating variety of molecular and cellular functional assays for nucleic acid drugs.
4. Collaborate with outside scientific commuties and industrial partners for collaborated projects.
5. Recruit, mentor and lead scientific and technical staff.
6. Lead internal meetings and participate external conferences to present data and for business development.
7. Work closely with internal partners to support preclinical, translational and clinical development of therapeutics.
8. Other duties as required.

Experience Requirements

1. Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, immuno-oncology or related disciplines. 2+ years post-graduate and industrial experience, with strong publication and working track record preferred.
2. Extenstive experience with molecular biology, cell biology and animal model techniques. Expertise with nucleic acid modification and labeling, flow cytometry and imaging experiences is a plus.
3. Relevant skills including immunocytochemistry, cytotoxicity assays, and cytokine analysis.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal communication.
5. Effective team building and teamwork skills, and ability to manage research scientists, outside collaborators and commercial partners.
6. Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and implement creative solutions.
7. Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
